Serving on the Gem County Chamber Board of Directors is a rewarding and important responsibility. Board members are leaders in our community and possess unique aspects associated with governing a volunteer, membership organization.

Marilyn Knighton

Chair of the Board

Marilyn Knighton has been involved with the Chamber for many years and she was elected as Chair of the Board in 2011.  She also holds a position on the Board for the Economic Development Foundation.  Marilyn finds it rewarding to be involved in making our community an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.  She is Vice President and County Manager for Alliance Title & Escrow Corp.  Marilyn is also very involved in her community as a Rotarian, and the Gem County Fire Dist. #1 Board Clerk. She is excited to be a part of the forward movement of the Gem County Chamber of Commerce.

Sue Vahlberg

Vice-Chair of the Board

Sue Vahlberg has been a Chamber Board Member since 2012. She currently holds the role as Vice Chairman. She also sits on the Chamber Foundation Board as Secretary. Sue is the Director of Community Relations and Marketing at Valor Health, and participates with safety and disaster preparedness, public information, and various committees. Locally, she participates on activities and clubs, including the community Health Fair, Relay for Life, Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, and is the president of the Idaho Renaissance Faire. Sue lives with her family in Emmett in a historical home where she likes to garden.
