What is the Ambassador Program?
The Ambassador Program is a group of dedicated volunteers from various member businesses throughout the Community. Ambassadors act as liaisons between the Chamber and member businesses. An Ambassador’s mission is to welcome, nurture, and recruit new Chamber members, act as goodwill representatives at various Chamber functions, and aid in the support of members’ participation in the Chamber.
What are my responsibilities?
Ambassadors are responsible for contacting new and/or renewing Chamber members for customer service purposes such as: membership satisfaction, promoting involvement, and updating and delivering Chamber plaques and information. Ambassadors are the contact volunteers at Chamber functions and events. They are the “Chamber Connection”.
Is there a special meeting time?
The Ambassadors meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:00 AM at various locations in Emmett. Ambassadors are introduced, pertinent information is discussed and winners are recognized at the monthly meetings.
What are Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings?
Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings introduce and welcome new members to the Community. They are held at the new member’s place of business and are covered by the local press with an article and photograph. We encourage Ambassadors to join our Chamber Staff in attendance whenever possible.
How do I participate in Special Events?
Each year there are more than 100 Chamber functions and events each with plentiful networking opportunities. Ambassadors are notified of events by email through the weekly Chamber Reminder.
What are Contact Cards?
Contact Cards are available and assigned at the monthly Ambassador meetings. Contact Cards provide the Ambassador with contact information on new or renewing Chamber members. Ambassadors make personal contact with the member within 30 days of receiving the Contact Card as a “Chamber Connection”.
What kind of recognition is there for myself and my company?
A point system is utilized for the purpose of identifying award winners throughout the year (see “Point Opportunities”). The “Ambassador of the Month” will be featured in the Messenger Index Newspaper as well as on the Chamber Website and recognized at the monthly Mid-Day Mingle. The “Ambassador of the Year” will be publicized in the same manner, as well as being honored at the Chamber Annual Meeting with a plaque to display at their place of business.
